In 1997 Observatorium was invited by Art in General and Snug Harbour Cultural Center in New York to install an artwork in a park and an exhibition in a gallery. Some 45 guests spend a night in seclusion in the park and allowed their observations to be installed in the gallery. They lived in a patio pavillion consisting of 34 empty bookcases and a roof but no windows. In order to provide mental time and space, the inside and the outside of the retreat had engravings subtly engraved in the wood. Next blog post is dedicated about the poem Jo Bell, Poet Laureate of the Canal and RiverTrust in Great Brtain made for the artwork Newton's Cottage in the Olympic Park of London.
